The VIKL website uses cookies to improve your browsing experience and ensure the proper functioning of certain features (in particular, automatic language detection via i18n). This policy explains what cookies are, how we use them, and how you can manage them.

4.1. Strictly necessary cookies (exempt from consent)
These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be disabled. Our site uses in particular:

4.2. Performance and analytics cookies (subject to consent)
We use:
- Azure Application Insights (Microsoft) for browser-side performance monitoring.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) for usage analytics (heatmaps, sessions, navigation paths).
Both tools are only activated on the client side after your consent via the cookie banner.

Data collected via these cookies: pages visited, URLs, time spent, load times, JavaScript errors, country/region, device type, browser, traffic source (referrer), and navigation interactions.
Legal basis: Consent (cookie banner) for both tools (Clarity and client-side Application Insights).
Default state: until you make a choice, Clarity is configured in denied mode (consentv2 with analytics_Storage: denied) and the client-side Application Insights SDK is not loaded.
How to opt out: you can refuse these cookies from the cookie banner, disable cookies in your browser settings (section 7.1), or contact us at privacy@vikl.ai.
4.3. Advertising cookies (NOT used)
We use no advertising or retargeting cookies on our site.
4.4. Social media cookies (NOT used)
We do not integrate any social sharing buttons (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) on this site, and no third-party social media cookies are placed.
5. Third-party cookies
5.1. Stripe (secure payments)
Purchases are made on our online platform (vikl.app). When you make a purchase, Stripe places strictly necessary cookies to secure the transaction. See Stripe's cookie policy.

Note: These cookies are only placed during the payment process and are exempt from consent (secure transaction = necessary).
5.2. Microsoft Azure (hosting)
Our site is hosted on Azure (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited). Azure may use technical cookies for load balancing and service optimisation. These cookies are strictly technical and do not collect any personally identifiable data.
5.3. Azure Application Insights (analytics & monitoring)
We use Azure Application Insights (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited) to monitor our
site's performance and audience. The client-side SDK (cookies ai_user, ai_session) is
only loaded with your consent. The server-side SDK (monitoring HTTP requests, errors,
performance) operates without cookies and falls under legitimate interest. All data is
stored on servers within the European Union. See

5.4. Microsoft Clarity (behaviour analytics)
We use Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited) to understand navigation paths and improve the website UX. Clarity is enabled based on your consent choice in our cookie banner. See Clarity documentation and Microsoft's privacy policy.

7.3. Consequences of disabling cookies

8. Cookies and personal data
The cookies we use do not collect any directly personally identifiable data (no name, address, or email). Analytics cookies (ai_user, ai_session, _clck, _clsk) use pseudonymised identifiers. Only technical and behavioural non-directly-identifying information is stored, for example:
- Language preference (FR/EN).
- Temporary session identifier (if applicable, deleted when the browser is closed).

We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time to reflect:
