Why we built VIKL
Loïc Wan-Ajouhu, founder of VIKL, shares where the idea came from: the isolation managers feel when facing relational tensions, and the conviction that a digital companion could fill that gap.

It was in Congo, during an expatriation, that Loïc Wan-Ajouhu experienced firsthand how isolated a manager can feel when facing relational tensions. As former CFO at VINCI Construction, he had the intuition that a digital companion could fill this gap. He envisioned VIKL and surrounded himself with a complementary team to build it.
"Vikl is a pocket companion for managers, an app designed to be a neutral, confidential space where you can step back, clarify a situation, and grow in the way you manage."
In this video, Loïc looks back on that founding insight and on VIKL's mission: helping every manager turn daily tensions into learning, with clarity and good judgment.

The micro-tensions of everyday life are invisible, but they weigh heavily on managers. A doubt about a decision, a latent conflict within a team, a difficult conversation we postpone. These moments, all managers experience them. And often, they face them alone. Hello, my name is Loïc. I was trained as a tax specialist and became a Chief Financial Officer. I worked notably within the Vinci Group and had the opportunity to take on demanding responsibilities, in particular while working abroad in Congo-Brazzaville. I have always enjoyed responsibility. But there, I also discovered a reality that is rarely discussed: managerial isolation. When you have to decide, when you have to arbitrate, when you have to manage human tensions, there is not always a neutral space to talk about it freely, without judgment and in real time. It was in these moments of doubt that VIKL was born. A simple question was on my mind: how can we turn a personal difficulty into an opportunity for others? And above all, how can we help managers become the best version of themselves? VIKL is a companion in your pocket for managers. An app designed as a neutral, confidential space where you can take a step back, clarify a situation and improve your way of managing. We stand for a strong belief: leadership is built through everyday interactions, and especially through the art of feedback. Good feedback can transform a relationship, a team, a trajectory. With VIKL, we want to democratize leadership. Because anyone can be a leader. Because anyone can improve. Because anyone can learn to better interact with others. Our ambition is simple: to bring together a community of managers, of pioneers, of future leaders. So if this vision speaks to you, become VIKL.
